The web is a huge dynamic storehouse of INFORMATION – and while we’re grateful for that, Sword’s engine room is powered by a passion for EDUCATION. “Go… and make disciples,” Jesus said. That means men and women who are committed to God’s programme of ‘life-long learning’. In the world’s eyes, we may be students, professors, lay or clergy, consultants or consultees, but in the presence of our Almighty God we are, without distinction, permanent LEARNERS – with no expectation of graduation until we are glorified in His presence. We believe it is critical that believers are cautious about the ‘information hoovering’ trend of modern society. Information and light are not necessarily the same thing. We are convinced that, although no-one knows the day or the hour, there are plenty of signs in our day that must precede the return of Our Lord Jesus to the earth. Underpinning Sword’s ministry is a conviction that we must GET READY, BE READY and READY OTHERS for the most momentous events of history! Without FAITH, it is impossible to please God (Heb 11:6) and without HOLINESS (in His people) no-one will see God (Heb 12:14). Sword is published for all who cry ‘increase our faith’ and ‘Lord, make me as holy as a sinner saved by grace can be’.
